I would address the following three stories in my opinions.

 

Li Mu-bai (李慕白) & Yu Shu-lien (俞秀蓮)

- Carries great responsibilities in hand

- Great achievements for a Wudang swordsman

- Never has time for relax

- Mature thinking, face a lot of challenges before

- Yu Shu-lien, side by side with Li Mu-bai

 

Jen (玉嬌龍) & Jade Fox

- Jade Fox has been posing as Jen's governess

- Jen is a talented young girl

- Jen is destined for an arranged marriage, but fall in loved with Lo (羅小虎)

- Yet yearns for adventure; becomes fascinated with the warrior Shu-lien.

 

In Today's World

01. One carries the heavy duty of being a husband, a leader, a company director, or a King

     - Being a head, certainly have threats and challenges around him, such as for a ...

       Husband - Loss of income, owe people money, being bullied, office politic

       Leader - Being a threat to other leader

       Company Director - Being able to sustain the company growth and challenges.

       King - being able to protect the nation

     - Great responsibilities that seldom have time for relaxation. Busy with work.

     - These responsibilities come with great promises that is well-kept.

 

02. Sad thing is, once you would like to rest or start retire, you have very little time, such as

     - You have diagnosed with sickness, or met with accident

     - You found out that the children does not own the skill that you have, and start worrying

     - You found out your loves one [the children] only gathered once a year

     - You found out you are less energetic compared to last time

The difference with the educated (good achievement in academic) and non-educated in business world.

01. Jen

     With education qualification, she could look for an answer through books, or listen to the story,

     however she met with different challenges in real life as to compare with the books and story.

     In short, those with qualification in academics might go into confusion and might loss interest towards

     the work. Therefore a guide is needed. This is how Li Mu-Bai guidance is needed for Jen.

     Sadly to say,

     If those who perform well in academics could not achieve as well as those who couldn't achieve well

     in academics might got shock and confuse, would turn into the dark side, like Jen, losing directions.

 

02. Jade Fox

     Jade Fox depends on Jen to read her Wudang manual, however Jen read less and keep it herself.

     With less education, the person has to depend on those with educated. It happens to the today's

     world that, most company would employ as high qualification as possible to in charge something.

     Not to say the employer don't know ABC, but to say employer don't know the field that the new

     comers involved in. Has to bear in mind that, does this person has the dark side of his/her?

     Sadly to say,

     People change not in the first year or second year, perhaps more than that to let you know.

     Jade Fox only knew it when Jen come to an age of getting marry.

01. Jen likes to explore

     Being young at her age, if something amuse her, she starts to explore without thorough consideration.

     This explain when children group with bad friends, they will mostly learn bad things if parents did

     not have anything to teach to their children or have anything to learn from parents.

     Nowadays parents always push children to learn from teacher, tuition teacher, art teacher and etc...,

     So what is the duty of parents? for Being a driver? or for being a cooker? washer? cleaner?

     Children choose friends as a basis to develop their character, sometime is good and sometime is bad.

     So when did Jen understand Li Mu-Bai and start to believe Li Mu-Bai is a good teacher for her?

 

02. Tips :

     Children likes to learn new things.

     It's their behavior that learn to cry, drink, eat, speak, walk, run, jump and etc...

     During these period, it has great affect and impact to the rest of their life.

     Well, sooner or later, they will be an adult, so teach them mature matters, and assist them to analyze. Or else,

     when they are becoming adult, they are still immature in making decisions and lives in their believes.

     That's why Jen believes living in a warrior life is cool and exciting, without really know the true meaning, and

     confuse.

 

Final Conclusion,

Children are easy influenced by people around them, and need to be taught carefully and provide guidance.

Without patient, the children might get confuse and turn into dark side instead into bright side.

Children are precious.

If both parents is busy with works, so does the future children when they start working.

The love story between, Li Mu-Bai with Yu Shu-lien, and Jen with Lo, that

- ties up with their duties and personal goal or dream, has ended up with loneliness in their heart.

So, do we live our life to the fullness? or towards loneliness as time goes by?
